New upgrade include a procedural particle engine with pre-set workflows
The latest iteration to 3D modelling and sculpting tool Modo 701 has been released by Luxology.
Announced two weeks ago, the new version features a new procedural particle engine with a pre-set workflow, audio playback, a sound channel modifier and schematic improvements to help reduce scene graph complexity.
Other additions include a dedicated dynamics simulation layer to improve performance, simplified complexity materials and layered shaders, large scene performance improvements of up to 175x, a new Pyhton interpreter and unlimited network rendering.
Modo will also soon be coming to Linux.
"We’ve made such big improvements to the existing architecture of the software in MODO 701 that 601 users will notice a huge leap forward," said Luxology co-founder Brad Peebler.
"We’ve also added some really cool functionality like the new particle system. This release will truly deliver on the philosophy that perfection comes through refinement. As always, we have pushed the limits and can’t wait to find out what you all think.”
