Creator looking for devs to make virtual board games with electronic dice

GDC 13: Dice+ opens developer site

Game Technologies has opened an official developer site for its electronic Dice+ tech.

The special dice features an accelerometer, magnetic field sensor, Bluetooth, touch sensitive sides and six LDs.

The tech’s creator is now inviting developers to create digital board games for tablets, with the consumer version of the dice set to begin preorders in summer this year.

Developer packs for the electronic dice cost $99.

Game Technologies claimed that following increased interest from resellers and consumers, the firm was looking to raise further funds to bring production to half a million units.

“We believe people are wired to play games in the company of each other we can’t just ignore 5,000 years of board games evolution, and now we know we can deliver this great experience to powered board games,” said Game Technologies marketing director David Gatti.
