Former Firewatch developer starts new studio, Caledonia

Nels Anderson, a designer for the Campo Santo game, Firewatch, is opening a new studio. Caledonia will be making "a sweet video game" according to the announcement Anderson made on Twitter.

Anderson had most recently worked on Firewatch, for San Francisco based Campo Santo but was also the developer for stealth action game Mark of the Wild with Klei Entertainment. This will be Anderson’s first solo project since that game and he’s very aware that starting a new studio isn’t without its difficulties.

"I’ll be picking the brains of you very smart people about things, and now you’ll have some idea of what I’m nattering on about," Anderson said in a follow up tweet.

There is no news on who the team are for the new studio, nor the project it will be working on. There is also no news yet on where it will be based. Anderson himself is based in Vancouver, Canada. Indeed there are very little details but we hope to hear more soon.
