The organisers of Game Music Connect 2014 have released details of the first wave of sessions.
Game Music Connect is a one-day conference that will discuss all aspects of music and musical composition in video games. It will be held at London’s Southbank Centre on Wednesday, September 24th.
Several noted video games composers and executives will attend as speakers, including Thomas Was Alone and Volume composer David Housden, The Chinese Room’s Jessica Curry, and Olivier Deriviére, the man behind the music of Remember Me.
The initial sessions include:
- Vision Talk: A presentation by EA’s Steve Schnur on the role of music in interactive entertainment today.
- Indie Games: Revolution or Renaissance?: A panel discussion with Curry, Housden and Deriviére exploring whether a lack of budget can benefit your creative vision.
- Games Music React 2014: Deriviére is joined by Runescape composer James Hannigan, Tomb Raider composer Jason Graves and Ninja Theory audio lead Tom Colvin to offer case studies of how music can be delivered in games.
