Glasgow studio becomes latest UK trade body member

Extra Mile Studios joins Tiga

Glasgow-based casual and family games studio Extra Mile has joined the UK development industry trade body Tiga.

Founded in 2004, the studio has developed titles the for PC, iOS and console markets, and worked with brands like Bob the Builder, Wallace & Gromit, Teletubbies and Noddy.

“At Extra Mile we have a rock solid tool chain which allows us to efficiently develop titles across multiple platforms. We have a deep expertise in creating games for the kids and the family/casual market,” said Extra Mile MD Bobby Farmer.

“We are committed to forging long term relationships with our clients and delivering products of the highest standard.”

Farmer went on to praise the UK development community as one of the best in the world.

“We have a fantastically talented workforce that is passionate about making great games for all audiences. At Extra Mile we believe it is important to support Tiga,” he stated.

“Now more than ever it is critical for the UK development community to work together and speak with a single voice to Government and other stakeholders – and Tiga is the perfect vehicle for that.”

Tiga CEO Dr Richard Wilson complimented Extra Mile as an example of a “British independent developer working on some of the biggest international brands in the world.”
