Prime Technology Ventures pumps funds into indie studio

Eutechnyx has secured a £6m ($9.25) investment from Amsterdam-based veture capital firm Prime Technology Ventures.

Eutechnyx has said that the investment will help to “finalize the development of a ground-breaking new title set to revolutionize the racing genre.”

The firm also aim to use the money to develop their free-to-play infrastructure before a planned move into casual online games.

“When we saw what Eutechnyx was working on, we knew we had to be involved, particularly given Eutechnyx’s track record, design heritage and jaw-dropping technology,” said Prime Technology Ventures general partner Monish Suri.

“We only invest in the best, so we’re incredibly excited to be able to play a role in the creation of projects that will drive the future of videogames.”

Eutechnyx CEO Brian Jobling said that he was thrilled to have secured the investment.

“As an independent developer, this infusion will help us to continue to forge our own destiny within a rapidly changing games industry. Not only does the investment enable us to continue to innovate, we can continue to do so on our own terms.”

Eutechnyx has said that they will be announcing specific details about upcoming projects soon.
