Free in-browser title, Auto Club Revolution, allows racing, tweaking and trading

Longstanding UK independent Eutechnyx may have struck oil in the uncharted free-to-play MMO market.

The Gateshead based studio is building a slick racing game that can be played in web browsers – and crucially, is ringed by an online community for full-time petrolheads.

Named Auto Club Revolution, Eutechnyx says the title was built “in collaboration with the world’s greatest automotive manufacturers”.

The game provides players with an extensive feature list of car customisation options, as well as the chance to trade their creations across an online market. All in the same browser game, players can take their creations for an online multiplayer race.

The game’s 45 manufacturers include the likes of Bugatti, McLaren, Jaguar, Lotus and Mini – huge brands in the car industry.

Eutechnyx says current and historical cars will be featured, as well as a few concept and pre-production cars.

The firm’s COO Darren Jobling says the game will offer ”a level of realism never before seen in a racing game or automotive online world.”
