Employees from defunct Age of Empires developer form new studio

Ensemble staffers found Robot Entertainment

Ensemble Studios co-founder Tony Goodman and several colleagues have formed a new development house named Robot Entertainment.

Presently no details on the new developer’s projects are available, reports Gamasutra, and it is not clear if Robot Entertainment will continue to create the PC real time strategy titles that were Ensemble’s speciality.

Ensemble, which made the Age of Empires series, was acquired in 2001 by Microsoft. The studio was recently closed down by the Xbox 360 platform holder once work on console-RTS Halo Wars was completed.
