Emergent's engine bolstered with new middleware links

Emergent's 'Tech Connection' partner program has been bolstered by a further eight new middleware providers.

The scheme exists to guarantee Gamebryo users that technologies included in the Tech Connection family will integrate with Gamebryo out-of-the-box and provide support and documentation to match Emergent's standards.

New technologies include AiLive LiveMove Pro (Wii remote training), Allegorithmic's ProFX (procedural texturing), Anark's GameFace (user interface), CRI Middleware's CRI Movie (movie compression/playback), Kynogon's Kynapse (AI), NaturalMotion's morpheme (animation), soVoz's ProScena Studio (solution for creating training and simulation titles) and Umbra (geometry culling).

“Emergent’s partnership program offers a modular approach to an integrated game production system. Our flexible and scalable framework allows leading middleware products to work together out-of-the-box helping us build out an ecosystem of service to the industry,” said Scott Johnson, president of Emergent.

“Through these unprecedented partnerships customers can easily evaluate and purchase the broadest range of game production solutions and design tools, and can be confident the solutions will work together seamlessly.”
