Nearly 400 attend Philadelphia event

Last month's East Coast Games Summit, the industry-focused track of the VGXPO event in Philadelphia, has been hailed a success - with nearly 400 people attending its events over the two days.

“We were extremely pleased and even a bit overwhelmed by the attendance to our Agile methodologies workshop,” offered Marc Mencher, CEO of GameRecruiter.

“We were going to be more than satisfied if 50 to 75 people had shown up for our three-hour hands-on session with games industry technologists such as Matt Shaw, CTO from EA and Steve Reid, EVP with Red Storm. Instead, we had nearly 130 attendees, and received an enormous amount of positive feedback from our workshop guests. This is one of the best conference experiences we’ve ever seen.”

Riding on the success of the event, dates for 2009's VGXPO and East Coast Games Summit have been announced - this time taking place a month earlier from October 9th to 11th, once again at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
