The minor change may not be enough to appease the angry mod

EA have pushed their first adjustments to Star Wars Battlefront 2's loot box ecosystem with a patch to the game that change the speed at which you earn in-game currency.

This is a relatively small patch for a community of gamers that have been looking for a sweeping overhaul to the loot box based progression system.

At the end of each game, players will receive a larger payout, with the top players on each team getting an even more substantial boost to their totals. As a result, the Arcade mode credit cap has increased to a daily 1500 credits, and you'll receive more crafting parts from the daily loot box to go towards upgrading Star Card abilities.

The team at EA Dice have communicated that this is only the start for Star Wars Battlefront 2 changes, but while the loot box furore blows around them, these changes could be too minor to appease the baying mob.

"We're excited to have launched the game to the world but recognise that there have been some challenges along the way," said the blog post announcing the changes. "We have learned a lot and are making adjustments to the game to ensure the best experience possible."

Tomorrow the game will also expand with The Last Jedi additions, starting the flow of delicious content with a meta-game keyed around joining up with the Resistance or the First Order. Later, you'll be able to unlock Finn or the shiny evil Phasma as heroes for use in game, as well as some extra story content.
