Appointment comes amid company shake-up after CEO resignation
Sarah Thomson has quit mobile games publisher Glu to join OpenFeint.
Thomson will take up the role of director of developer relations and will head up the expansion of the social gaming platform provider’s developer base, the company said.
“OpenFeint is going through an exciting phase of growth right now and Sarah is exactly the kind of person we need to keep up the momentum,” said marketing VP Eros Resmini.
“Sarah’s deep history in mobile gaming paired with her connections to the developer community made her a great fit for OpenFeint.”
Thomson added she had “always admired OpenFeint for its constant innovation in the mobile gaming space” and is “excited” to help the company grow.
She previously held the role of business development and developer relations at Glu Mobile where she was responsible for recruiting independent developers for external development.
The appointment comes on the back of a recent shake up at OpenFeint that saw CEO Jason Citron resign earlier this month and replaced by Naoki Aoyagi.
