First London Games Conference attracts big names and huge interest
Some 230 key execs from the European games industry will attend a sold-out London Games Conference later this month.
The London Games Conference is an annual conference centred on key industry themes. This year's theme of 'Digital Distribution & The Future of the European Games Market' has initiated a huge response.
Numerous topline speakers include Playfish CEO and co-founder Kristian Segerstrale, PlayStation Home director Pete Edward and Xbox UK and Ireland boss Neil Thompson.
Impressively, delegates have rolled in from all the big names in the industry and beyond, including the BBC, Disney, Eidos, GAME, Gamespot, Gem, Koch, Konami, Kuju, Microsoft, NC Soft, Nintendo, Nokia, Orange, Play.com, Sony Computer Entertainment, Sega, Sky, The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Hut, THQ and Warner Bros.
"We have been blown away with the level of interest in our first London Games Conference. We also know that the low price has been well received, as has the conference and networking concept that we have rolled out," commented Stuart Dinsey, managing director of LGC organiser Intent Media.
"With such a fantastic array of speakers, bespoke sector research and a BAFTA auditorium jam-packed with quality delegates, we're very excited at the prospect of the entire industry discussing an essential topic."
The London Games Conference will be kicked off by Shadow Minister for Culture Ed Vaizey.
