New studio Antic Entertainment has suddenly shot to the limelight with its first title, the free-to-play browser based RTS Junk Battles, which is available to play right now.
The game is the first in what Antic describes as a catalogue that will boast many free-to-play browser titles and iPhone releases.
Antic is owned by Fredrik Liljegran, one of the founders of celebrated Swedish developers DICE whose titles include the critically and commercially popular Battlefield franchise.
The studio, which is located in Ontario, is co-owned by Mark Mikulec and Jeff Evans, both of whom formerly worked for Canada’s Digital Extremes.
“I am thrilled to officially announce not only our new development studio but also our first title Junk: Battles,” Liljegren said.
