Peace Day to promote message of non-violence through virtual and online worlds
Develop has joined the Peace Games initiative as media partner.
The Peace Games campaign, in association with lead partner Playmob, aims to bring the game industry together in an effort to change the negative perceptions and stereotypes of games to “one that champions peace”.
Taking place on September 21st, Peace Day will be promoted through virtual and online worlds to spread the message of ceasefire and non-violence.
Organiser Peace One Day and Playmob are encouraging developers to sign up to the campaign and commit to observing and promoting awareness of non-violence during the event through the theme “Who will you make peace with?”.
Last year, Peace One Day reached more than 280 million people worldwide, and estimates suggest this year’s campaign could reach out to over 600 million people.
Playmob and Peace One Day will be heading to the Develop in Brighton conference to officially announce the event.
