Must read industry guide is back, supported by new data and analysis
The highly anticipated Develop 100 book is to return for 2009, and will be published in May.
A must-read industry bible, the Develop 100 lists the world's most bankable studios and in recent years has proven to be an invaluable 'Who's who' of the studio scene.
Big changes are afoot for the 2009 edition however.
Instead of just basing our list on the mass-market retail environment in the UK, the world's second-largest software market, the Develop team is devising a list that takes into account global market data from GfK-ChartTrack, NPD and Famitsu, plus Metacritic rankings and industry soundings to form a definitive guide.
If you think your studio deserves to be in the list, then let us know - contact Michael.French@intentmedia.co.uk with details about your games studio.
(Note: the Develop 100 only lists development studios, not outsourcing or service companies, and to be eligible your team must have released at least one game in calendar year 2008.)
Plus, there are exciting sponsorship and advertising opportunities open to anyone in the games development sector. Contact Jaz.Kandola@intentmedia.co.uk to find out more.
As a guide that is read year-round, the Develop 100 is an invaluable opportunity to promote your service or studio to the readers at studios and games business across the globe.
The Develop 100 2009 is published with the May edition of Develop, and bundled with relevant copies of the May 15th edition of MCV.
It will also be available to read on Issuu.com for free, available as a PDF, supported by a microsite at developmag.com and have extended distribution at the Develop Conference and Develop Industry Excellence Awards in July.
