World's greatest games studios profiled in new digital format, launches next month

Develop 100 returns in May – exclusively for iPad

Develop 100, the annual monitor on the world’s best games studios, will return next month exclusively as digital download.

The 2012 edition of the widely read book will be available for iPad.

Develop 100 ranks the world’s top developers, and has been published by Develop publisher Intent Media since 2005.

Last year the influential guide divided opinion by ranking studios via their consolidated twelve-month Metacritic score.

This year’s book will once again consider critical prowess, but also uses data supplied by GfK Chart-Track on the commercial success of key studios to build an even more accurate and incisive listing of the globe’s top teams.

"We’re looking forward to sharing with the rest of the games industry our respected annual studio ranking – every year without fail the Develop 100 sparks debate at all levels in the games industry, from CEOs of established giants to ambitious new start-ups," said Michael French, editor-in-chief of Develop.

"And we’re equally as excited by the new format for the book, which now becomes a digital edition for the iPad."

Develop 100 is read by the biggest decision makers across the channel, and is the perfect platform for service and development companies to raise the profile of their business and brand.
