Journalists vote on the best games ever and world's best studio

The Develop 100 will return in March with a Critics' Choice listing.

Develop will quiz hundreds of games journalists from around the world on what the best games of all time are.

The latest edition will also see journalists have their say on who might be considered 'the best games development studio ever'.

We will then compile all the votes to see who comes out on top, and publish the list with commentary.

If you are a professional games journalist and want to take part in the vote, contact Craig.Chapple@intentmedia.co.uk.

The Develop 100 Critics' Choice will be released on March 15th for iPad only, as a new volume in last year's first digital-only Develop 100. It will be free to those who have already downloaded the first volume, which costs £4.99 for new readers. You can purchase it here in the Develop iPad app.

Last year the influential guide looked at the top 100 studios from around the globe based on revenue generated in the UK, as provided by GfK Chart-Track. Each listing included detailed information on game sales as well as a profile of each studio charting its history and reasons for success.

The Develop 100 has been published by Intent Media for eight years, and has used various data points – including revenues and review scores – to each year find out who the best performing studios are.

After the Critics' Choice list, three further volumes of the Develop 100 will be published this year. We will reveal which insightful metrics they will use at a later date.

Develop 100 is read by the biggest decision makers across the channel, and is the perfect platform for service and development companies to raise the profile of their business and brand.

Extensive Develop 100 coverage will be provided in Develop, both in the print magazine and via Develop-Online.net, its sister titles MCV and Mobile Entertainment, and promoted through social media channels.
