Intent Media founder Stuart Dinsey takes on new role at indie game publisher
London studio Curve Digital has named Intent Media founder Stuart Dinsey as its new chairman.
In his new role, Dinsey will work alongside current directors Jason Perkins, Richie Turner and Jonathan Biddle, and will look to help the company develop and grow as it moves into the next generation of consoles.
Former Intent Media finance director Hilary Cole will also be stepping up her role at the indie game publisher, having previously advised the company for several years.
Dinsey and Cole will also be providing the studio with financial backing.
Curve has previously developed titles such as Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark, also known as Stealth Bastard, and has worked with developers such as Jasper Byrne on Lone Survivor and Thomas Was Alone creator Mike Bithell to bring their games to console.
“Independent games have become a key battlefield in the fight for next-gen dominance.” said Dinsey.
“Curve Digital’s integrated development studio has ten years of experience in QA, submission and development on console formats. This puts the publisher in a unique position to help the next generation of independent developers find a home for their games on the new console formats.”
Curve MD Jason Perkins added: “We’re incredibly happy to welcome Stuart as our Chairman. We are certain his experience and knowledge of the games industry will prove to be invaluable to Curve Digital’s future success and growth as a publisher.”
Earlier today it was announced that Stuart Dinsey would be leaving Intent Media at the end of October, having been with the company since he founded it in 1998.
