Crytek has moved to support open source OS Linux with its powerful game development platform CryEngine.
The Crysis developer is set to show off a tech demo of the toolset on Linux at next week’s GDC through March 19th and 21st.
As well as adding Linux support, the latest update for the engine includes a new physically based shading render pipeline, designed to mimic real-world physics and create more realistic lighting and materials.
During the conference, Crytek will also be debuting a new military strategy game called The Collectables for iOS and Android.
