Development tech also adds new physically based shading render pipeline
Crytek has moved to support open source OS Linux with its powerful game development platform CryEngine.
The Crysis developer is set to show off a tech demo of the toolset on Linux at next week's GDC through March 19th and 21st.
As well as adding Linux support, the latest update for the engine includes a new physically based shading render pipeline, designed to mimic real-world physics and create more realistic lighting and materials.
During the conference, Crytek will also be debuting a new military strategy game called The Collectables for iOS and Android.
