Title's developers Zhejiang Zhile Network and Hortor Soft apologise, deactivate video sharing

Chinese mobile game posts nude user videos online

A Chinese smartphone game called Fengkuang Laiwang has found itself in the centre of a data privacy scandal.

South China Morning Post reports that the title uploaded 36,000 private user videos to the internet without notification or permission.

The app itself allowed users to play charades by sharing video clips. However, said footage – which users presumed could only be seen by friends and others with whom they were playing – was also being captured and posted online on Youku.com, much of which featured users in various states of undress.
