German studio to adopt engine for multiplatform title Dead Block
Hamburg-based developer Candygun has finalised a license that will see it use Epic's Unreal Engine 3 for 'third-person action defense' game Dead Block.
"We selected the extremely versatile Unreal Engine 3 because it’s perfectly suited to develop the vision of our upcoming title," said Candygun Games founder and managing director Roger Joswig.
"UE3 offers cutting-edge technology with the ability to develop multi-platform products in a highly efficient way. This proven engine solution and its integrated development environment shrinks development time, which is critical to enabling us to bring the vision of our game to life."

Dead Block serves as Candygun's first original IP for the downloadable market, and is due to see release on PC, PSN and XBLA.
