Paulina Bozek, the BAFTA-winning director of the SingStar franchise, has launched a new start-up studio following her high-profile walkout at Atari.
Christened as Inensu, the British indie outfit wants to build “social and innovative games for the connected generation”.
Bozek heads up a core team which is bolstered by the commended talents of new art director Alex Townsend – a former SCEE employee of six years who followed Bozek’s jump to Atari London Studio back in 2009.
In April Bozek ended an sixteen-month spell at Atari as both Phil Harrison and David Gardner waked away from their seat on company’s board of directors.
She was hired by Atari in 2009 to head up the firm’s London-based online studio, and her capture signified an exciting time for the company as it looked to rebrand itself as an online-focused game publisher.
Bozek had only released a single project at Atari in her role as development director – a Facebook application called Atari Photo Sauce.
Her new independent outfit is based in Shorditch, London.
