Boss Fight Entertainment has hired Dave Luehmann, formerly the boss of Amazon’s gaming division.
As director at Amazon Game Studios, Luehmann oversaw multiple internal development studios and helped build the retailer’s games publishing arm alongside the rise of its Kindle platforms, including the microconsole Fire TV.
Prior to this, he worked at Trion Worlds and Microsoft Studios, building up more than 25 years of experience in the games industry.
Now he takes on the role of VP of production at Boss Fight, which specialises in free-to-play games. The Dallas-based studio is currently gearing up for the launch of its first title, Dungeon Boss, later this year.
“Having known many of the developers at Boss Fight for over a decade, I watched with deep admiration and respect as their studio has grown,” said Luehmann. “I look forward to working with the exceptional talent they have and bringing their creative visions to the massive free-to-play market.”
