WoW and Starcraft II resources boosted in time for E3

In amongst all the other information garnered from Activision/Blizzard’s recent E3 investor conference call, several new expansions in Blizzard Entertainment’s operations were revealed. 

The firm now has 140 dedicated developers for new World of Warcraft content, with 2,500 customer service staff, a total built up over the past year. The title’s servers contain 75,000 core CPUs with 112TB RAM each.

President of Blizzard Michael Morhaime pointed out that 300 new staff have been added to the studio’s development headcount, with an extra 1,000 now working in Blizzard’s customer services departments.

Finally, he said that Starcraft II will be released on five continents, having been recorded into 11 languages.
