Blitz Arcade has confirmed it will release CodaChain, KrissX, Buccaneer, Droplitz and Encleverment Experiment across PC and console digital distribution platforms.
All five games are based on original IP and bolster the Blitz portfolio following its release of SpongeBob Squarepants: Underpants Slam! on Xbox Live Arcade.
Two of the new games – Droplitz and Encleverment Experiment – were conceived and developed internally by Blitz Arcade, while Dare To Be Digital competition winner CodaChain was acquired from the winning team. KrissX and Buccaneer are being developed by Blitz in partnership with two unnamed external teams.
Philip Oliver, CEO and co-founder of Blitz Games Studios, said: "This is a fascinating time – the rapidly growing casual games market reminds me in lots of ways of what it used to be like in the early days of the games industry. It is a great way to encourage and develop talent from within our company.
"Giving staff the opportunity to have their own ideas realized as full games is a very strong motivator and good for the studio as whole. The division is also allowing us to work in partnership with some very talented grass-roots developers."
Blitz will be showcasing the games at upcoming Casual Connect conference in Seattle on July 23rd.
