Muzyka and Zeshuck to talk about the new frontier of 'emotionally engaging narrative'

Bioware's founders, Dr. Ray Muzyka and Dr. Greg Zeschuk, will be appearing as keynote speakers at the inaugural GDC Canada event next month.

Muzyka and Zeschuk started Bioware in 1995, leading it to produce titles as important as Baldur's Gate, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect. Their keynote will target what they see as the 'new frontier' of emotionally engaging narrative.

“We couldn’t have found two more appropriate speakers for the inaugural GDC Canada, as Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk are two of the most esteemed members of the game development community worldwide, and certainly leaders amongst the Canadian game development community,” said Izora de Lillard, event director at Think Services Game Group.

“Both are also pioneers of the move towards making games that tell rich stories and affect players on a deep emotional level; we look forward to hearing how they inspire the attendees of GDC Canada to push their games into what they are rightfully calling gaming’s ‘new frontier.'"

GDC Canada takes place at the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre on May 12th and 13th. For more information, visit the event's official website.
