At least 12GB of RAM recommended for smooth gameplay experience on Windows 10

Batman: Arkham Knight PC re-release still faces problematic bugs

Warner Bros has re-released Batman: Arkham Knight on PC after pulling the game from sale four months ago, but some players are still reporting issues.

The publisher has already released patch notes to keep users up to date on any bugs that are reported. In one instance, it has recommended Windows 10 users have at least 12GB of RAM to provide a “smoother gameplay experience”.

A hard drive paging issue with GPUs on Windows 7 after extended gameplay sessions has been reported; though Warner said simply re-launching the game will resolve the problem.

The publisher also stated that it is still working with GPU partners to add full support for SLI and Crossfire, and is also continuing to address stability issues for the latest drivers on certain graphics cards.

Some players have claimed the game has received no further fixes since developer Rocksteady released a patch in September. Others are also unhappy with the Windows 10 requirements.

“The game is EXACTLY the same as it was before with the famous August Patch, not a single improvement has been done,” said one user.

One new review read: "Even post-patch/re-release this game is still so completely broken for me I can’t finish the first objective which is ‘fly over there’ without a crash."

Others though report the game works smoothly on their PC. One user said: “Seriously, mines been running fine since the September patch, and I’m just happy the game became playable.”

A positive review read: "I held off till the Oct 28th re-release and just played over 5 hours today with no issues."

To appease customers who originally bought the game before it was pulled from sale, Warner Bros has offered free digital copies of Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY, Batman: Arkham City GOTY, Batman: Arkham Origins, and Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate. It hopes to ensure all the games are freely available to those affected by December.
