Developers reminded to get entries in by July 6th

BAFTA deadline nears

This year’s games BAFTAs continue to gather momentum – and the deadline for entries is just days away.

Developers are invited to submit their games to the British Academy Video Games Award by July 6th, the first stage entry deadline, subject to a small registration fee. A late stage entry process will be open from July 7th to July 17th, which costs £200 plus VAT for each game entered.

The call for entries opened last month when the new categories for the event were revealed.

Games released in the UK between October 6th, 2006 and December 31st, 2007 can be entered into 13 categories which include Action and Adventure, Sports, Innovation, Best Original Score and Multiplayer, plus Casual and Story and Character gongs.

The awards themselves take place on October 23rd in a ceremony at Battersea Evolution.

More information can be found at the official site.
