iCloud to enable iPhone 4S and iPad users to screen games on their television set

Apple has announced a new 1080p HD TV with access to iTunes and streaming services through iCloud.

In a busy day for the world’s richest company, it said that iPhone, iPod, and iPad customers can stream their music, photos and videos directly to their TV through AirPlay.

Iphone 4s and iPad users can also use it show the screen of their device on to the television set, allowing for the streaming of games on a larger TV.

The tech firm said the new Apple TV will also feature a refined user interface.

“People are going to love streaming movies and TV shows in 1080p with the new Apple TV, and photos look beautiful displayed at the maximum resolution of your TV,” said Apple’s SVP of worldwide marketing Philip Schiller.

“Apple TV is easier than ever to use with its new icon-based interface and the ability to access your purchased movies, TV shows and music right from iCloud.”

As with the newly unveiled iPad, the Apple TV is set to release next Friday, March 16th, and will be available at around $99.
