Kurt Sutter pitches popular biker drama to Grand Theft Auto studio
Rockstar has been offered a chance to make a game based on Sons of Anarchy by the show's creator.
The Grand Theft Auto studio is the latest to be asked by Kurt Sutter if they'd be willing to take the plunge in taking the biker drama to a new medium.
"@RockstarGames you should make the SOA game," said Sutter on twitter.
"I know it's an expensive/complicated process, but let's chat, see if we can make it happen."
It's hard to imagine a studio better suited to creating a game based on the exploits of leather-clad criminals.
The attempt to make a game based on the series has been ongoing for the better part of a year, but by August, it seemed momentum had slowed to a crawl.
One publisher is reported to have already bailed on the project.
Sutter might have better luck with pitching SOA to TellTale for something similar to The Walking Dead game.
Licensing existing brands just isn't RockStar's style.
Just a heads up, this actually would not be the first time they've made a licensed game. The Warriors is a prime example.
