Playstation Store gets facelift Oct. 23rd

New look promises new interface, search, and improved content discovery

The Playstation store will get a new look on October 23rd, which Sony promises will make the user experience more streamlined and accessible.

With digitial distribution an ever more important part of the console market, the importance of ensuring that customers can find the content they want is paramount.

The newly designed store was announced on the Playstation Blog, and promises an improved interface, simplified search tool, and better content discovery.

Sony claims the PS Store now holds over 20,000 downloadable games, content packages, and themes, and over 100,000 TV shows and videos.

An interface capable of delivering all this content to an eager audience is key if Sony is to succeed in the digital marketplace.

ps store is too expensive. most of the games are a fraction of the price on ebay .most of the rental films are cheaper at blockbuster's . don't get me wrong I've been ps3 since day one but come on Sony stop trying to rip off your loyal customers bring video rentals to about £2 and I might think about it . looked for a tomb raider game the other day ps had it for £14.99 it was on ebay for £5 guess which one I went for!

I've been compiling an ever-growing list of usability issues and suggestions for XMB, but haven't found any way to actually submit it to anyone with any authority (or who gives a rat's arse...)
