
More than 30 potential games have raised more than $100k through crowd-funding site
A total of 699 games projects have been successfully bankrolled by creative funding project Kickstarter.
The site allows creative types to pitch ideas to the public who are then able to make a monetary donation.
Of these, three potential games have raised in excess of $1m. 31 have raised between $100k and $999,999 and 120 have raised over $20k. The largest number – 351 – successfully raised between $1k and $9,999.

Bit odd that this made news. I could somewhat understand it being news worthy if it had successfully funded 1000 games, but 700? It's like you couldn't find anything to talk about and just decided to write some facts about Kickstarter instead. Not really news worthy.
Do you really think 700 games being funded is nothing?...stop thinking about the way the roundness of 1000 looks against 700 and think about how many games actually make it to the public in a good fashion!
