SmartGlass Studio released to game developers and entertainment partners
Microsoft has released the SmartGlass SDK to game developers and entertainment parters, the company has announced.
SmartGlass was revealed at E3, and allows a user to use a tablet device to access additional content when watching a show or playing a game on their Xbox 360.
The SDK release is timed about right for Microsoft's timetable, which has SmartGlass content arriving in time for the holiday season.
Microsoft has said that all future first-party titles will include SmartGlass content.
The SDK includes SmartGlass Studio, a JavaScript Library, and sample code.
Wow, this is a major plus for Microsoft. I usually a Microsoft "hater" but this is a "game changer". If Surface performs anything near the proposed specs, Apple has met it's main competition, but then Surface has so much catching up to do.
