PS Vita provides new boost to user account numbers
There are about ninety million PlayStation Network accounts across all regions, Sony announced today at GDC.
Ted Regulski, manager of SCEA Developer Relations, said the PSN numbers were accumilated from PS3, PSP and PS Vita customers.
In a bullish start to his GDC talk, Regulski said Sony was “the only major console publisher to allow self-publishing”.
“There are others but they have publishing rules that aren’t much fun,” he said, “and there are no weird limits you have to hit in order for us to pay you”.
He also went on to claim that PSN offers a better royalty rate than what Nintendo and Microsoft offers, though didn’t reveal any numbers so the claim cannot be verified.

Five of my gaming buddies have PS3 and each of them have MULTIPLE European and north american accounts in order to swindle free stuff out of FIFA 12. I guess if Sony took the time to see how many of those accounts are linked to the same PS the number would be closer to 50 million.
SONY- "we have 90 mil." SHUT UP!
it means nothing, yet you comprise accounts and remove stuff.
stop trying to show off!
i like sony and all, abut how many of those accounts are active
