Thanks for doing this series, I'll be sure to catch them all. When I noticed you'll be giving some attention to projects like App Game Kit and Game Maker, I figured I'd throw my own hat in there.

Please consider reviewing jMonkeyEngine 3. It is the top choice for any Java developer and is one of the most popular open source engines right now. It's most popular game to date is 3079, for sale on Desura and featured in the IndieRoyale bundle.
