Intel webinar: how to make money from HTML5

Chip giant Intel has been dramatically ramping up its mobile presence as the market embraces new devices such as tablets and Ultrabook devices, alongside phones and PCs.

It’s launched a developer program and an app store platform (Intel AppUp) in addition to a new chip range (Medfield) built specifically to address the mobile device space.

It’s also focusing hard on HTML5 because of the way in which the technology appeals to the existing army of web developers that are familiar with Intel products and services.

Hence this free March 7th online event to address the tools, the devices and the distribution opportunities offered by the technology.

HTML5 bring rich functions for animation, video and interaction to the language traditionally used to build websites. Now, it’s being used to create rich user interfaces for apps too – on any screen resolution or device, from smartphones to Ultrabook.

For the first time, developers can now sell HTML5 apps through multiple app stores using a single tool and developer program.

This free developer webinar will address:

* HTML5 features, including the canvas API and local storage
* How the Intel AppUp encapsulator can be used to convert a web app into a program that can be installed and run on a Windows PC, netbook, laptop or Ultrabook devices
* How you can sell HTML5 apps through the Intel AppUp developer program, which supplies leading app stores from brands including Dixons
* What kinds of app will be successful on Ultrabook devices

Intel’s webinar takes place on Wednesday March 7th from 10am GMT.

It’s free, but spaces are limited. Register here
