Customers will soon be allowed to pay whatever they want for a new PC games bundle featuring the works of several independent studios.
Known as the Little Big Bunch, the collection of games comes from leading independent studios in the UK such as Oxford outfit Mode 7, Yorkshiremen Just Add Water and Londoners Curve Studios.
Users can pay what they like for popular titles such as Frozen Synapse, Explodemon and Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee – and even decide how much goes to the developers and what portion should go to games industry charity GamesAid.
Other titles in the package include works from Indiana studio Mommy’s Best Games and Oxfordshire group New Star Games.
The Little Big Bunch will be available worldwide by digital download from ww.littlebigbunch.com on a ‘pay what you want’ basis from December 14th until Jan 2nd 2012.
“This is a great initiative for GamesAid and I would like to say a massive thanks to the indie developers who have kindly put their games into Little Big Bunch,” said GamesAid trustee Ian Livingstone.
GamesAid ambassador and co-founder Miles Jacobson said GamesAid is “a uniquely democratic charity and this method of making these great games available follows those values”.
