New conference billed as 'first ever pan-European games industry conference for women'
A new event targeted to encourage more female game developers is set to take place in London this September.
The ‘Women In Games Jobs’ event comes a year after the annual ‘Women in Games’ event was cancelled due to limited demand. The two organisations are not linked, a spokesperson for Women In Games Jobs said.
The new event is backed by an advisory board of top female executives working in the games industry, featuring the likes of Sony Computer Entertainment’s Ali Bergstrom-Allen, Ubisoft Reflections general manager Giselle Stewart and Lionhead’s Fable boss Louise Murray. A full advisory board list can be found below.
Women In Games Jobs takes place September 22nd in London, and is billed as the “first ever pan-European [games industry] conference for women”.
