PSN downtime could stretch to six weeks

Sony hopes to bring the network back online 'by May 31st'

After the disappointment of PSN failing to hit its first target recovery date last week, Sony has now admitted that the service may not be back online for another three weeks.

Speaking to Bloomberg, Shigenori Yoshida – who is referred to as a 'spokesman' – has said that Sony is now aiming to bring PSN back online by May 31st.

The service first went down on April 20th. If May 31st does prove to be the day it's resumed, that will mean PSN will have endured total downtime of six weeks.

Thanks hackers. None of this would be possible without D-bags that need to get laid. Rather than make life miserable for consumers because of your own hang ups, why don't you guys go to Sony, tell them about their weaknesses, apply for a position to save them, and not be a d-bag that is probably now on an FBI criminal list.

I'm curious what kinds of jail time this mad black-hatter (black hat is bad kind of hacker white hats are those that that are security consultants) faces if/when he gets caught.

They do get fed lie after lie. When 360 first released, Microsoft denied that the failure rate was 50+%, it was later found out that Microsoft knew the 360 hardware had major design flaws, yet launched anyway.
