Planet Moon CEO departs after money row

Studio emptying staff with unknown parties accused of owing 'substantial' revenues

Aaron Loeb, the former CEO of Planet Moon before the studio hit money troubles, has left the firm for Playfish.

Loeb joins Playfish’s San Francisco office as managing director.

In January, Planet Moon said it was owed “substantial” amounts of money from several unknown parties.

Nearly 40 of its staff were absorbed by social games firm Bigpoint, but those who remained at Planet Moon said they would launch a legal fight against the companies its has accused of penny pinching.

The studio’s unnamed project “went into financial default” over Christmas, Loeb had told Develop.
