Trinigy is updating its popular Vision Engine to include support for Sony’s next handheld, the PSP2.
The latest edition of the scalable engine will be revealed at the upcoming Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.
The updated engine will include a multithreading system, specifically designed to take advantage of the PSP2’s multi-core CPU, for animations, mesh deformation, particle simulation and physics.
It will also boast “comprehensive support” for PSP2’s multi-touch user-interfaces, Trinigy said.
The Vision Engine already supports a wide range of systems, from Xbox 360 to PS3, to Wii, PC and iPhone.
“With support for PSP2, Vision Engine gives developers a flexible, full-featured solution for speeding the creation of graphically superior, high-performance casual and hard-core games for portable entertainment systems,” said Dag Frommhold, managing director at Trinigy.
