Epic Games’ engine shown operating on new Sony handheld device

Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 3 was shown operating on the NGP at Sony’s new handheld reveal event in Tokyo this morning.

Company founder Tim Sweeney came on stage to show both Android and iPhone title Dungeon Defenders and an updated version of the Epic Citadel tech demo playing on the NGP.

"Our NGP demos were 100 per cent live real-time demos with Josh Adams at the controls of an NGP dev kit backstage while Tim spoke," Epic's Mark Rein said of the reveal on Twitter.

"Can't wait for people to see how good our demo looks on the actual NGP screen. Way, way better than it looks on a giant projection screen."
