Recruitment event to be held next week
Codemasters is embarking on a full-scale recruitment drive in Liverpool next week while the future for staff at local studio Bizarre Creations remains in the balance.
Next Wednesday the Dirt and Grid developer will send over key staff from its studios and central art and tech teams, as the company looks to fill over 100 development positions.
The recruitment event will open with an introductory presentation from Guy Pearce, brand director for Dirt and Bodycount.
Codemasters Birmingham manager Alex McLean will also make an appearance, as will engineers behind the firm’s Ego Engine.
“This is an open introduction to Codemasters, its studios, products, people and the opportunities we can offer in the market,” said Simon Miles, talent acquisition manager.
“The UK talent pool is amongst the best in the world and although this is a tough time in the industry, there are still great examples of UK achievements. Codemasters is one of the companies in a fantastic position to expand and build the AAA games for the future."

Craig Duncan & friends from Sumo Digital will also be attending Develop Liverpool on Thursday and hosting some drinks at the Hilton Thursday evening from 7pm. We will be in the VIP area ready to talk to talented developers interested in joining us!
