Cambridge-based firm sends team northwards in the wake of Bizarre troubles
Jagex has confirmed that it will be sending a number of staff to Liverpool to hold a recruitment function on Tuesday November 23rd.
The Jagex team will hold a ‘meet and greet’ at a private bar at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in the city, with the intention of discussing its current employment oppourtunities.
“We have a large number of positions across multiple MMO projects, and we wanted to take this opportunity to let the folks at Bizarre know they have options ahead of them during these potentially difficult times,” said Jagex talent acquisition specialist Peter Lovell.
“There is so much talent in the UK and we want to ensure that our home grown stars know there are still fantastic opportunities here.”
“You don’t have to move to the other side of the World to find stability and better prospects. Its time to spread the word that we have some real powerhouses right here and we are keen to demonstrate this case to staff at Bizarre.”
As an ex-Monumental employee, I can make a pretty good guess as to exactly what one of these projects is.
However, good news for the staff of Bizarre, hope all works out for you guys and gals eventually :)
If anyone has any questions about this announcement or Jagex recruitment in general, please feel free to contact me. Please pop me an email if you are interested in attending the meet and greet.
Also - please note. The event will be held in the evening (from 5pm) at the Crowne Plaza on Speke Road by Liverpool Airport and the Bizarre Offices (not in the City) :-)
Craig Duncan & friends from Sumo Digital will also be attending Develop Liverpool on Thursday and hosting some drinks at the Hilton Thursday evening from 7pm. We will be in the VIP area ready to talk to talented developers interested in joining us!
