X-Men: Destiny entrusted to Canada-based Too Human studio
Following the recent revealing of new X-Men title X-Men: Destiny, publisher Activision yesterday confirmed that Canadian studio Silicon Knights will be developing the game.
Attendees to the New York Comic-Con, finishing this Sunday, will be able to see part of the title in Activision’s booth at the event. It has been given a tentative release date of autumn 2011.
Silicon Knight’s involvement comes after the studio received a grant for around $4m from the Canadian government in April this year. That funding was for a new multi-platform title for release within five years.
It's about time we hear something out of Silicon Knights! Makes me wonder if they tackle multiple projects at once, since I would think they still have the Too Human series in the works.
Silicon Knights President, Denis Dyack, will be at the DIG London game developers conference next month in London, Ontario, maybe he'll shed a bit more light on this.
