New indie outfit for Keita Takahashi

New indie outfit for Keita Takahashi

Katamari Damacy creator launches Uvula

Keita Takahashi, the inimitable game designer who recently broke ties with Namco Bandai, has formed a new independent entertainment company with his wife.

The Katamari Damacy creator, now studying English, said his new company – called Uvula – will “mainly work with music and video games”.

His new business partner and spouse, said Takahashi, is a music composer.

“We want to widen our horizons,” he said, “so we are glad if we make something new with you.”

As a foretoken to this new direction for the Noby Noby Boy developer, Takahashi is still in the process of building a child’s playground in Nottingham.

“I became a freelancer in October,” he writes on his new website.

“I want to continue fun activities and help somebody with fun people of the world.”
