Jack Tretton confirms 70 new handheld titles, and affirms platforms position to studios

SONY: PSP dev pipeline ‘incredibly strong’

Speaking at the Sony E3 press conference currently taking place, Jack Tretton, president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment of America, has assured developers that the PSP remains strong as a platform.

"The development pipeline for PSP is incredibly strong," promised Tretton, before revealing that 70 titles are due for release on the device by the end of the year.

"PSP is a crucial part of our strategy to move beyond the living room," he later added.

Game IPs coming to the PSP include Tron Evolution, Kindom Hearts, Toy Story, Ace Combat, God of War, UFC Unleashed and Invizimals.
