Treyarch ‘not empty on ideas’ for future CoD

Treyarch ‘not empty on ideas’ for future CoD

“There’s so many ideas that we haven’t implemented yet”, says studio head

Treyarch says it has the creative resources to build more and more Call of Duty games without the series stagnating.

With Activision’s business strategy of publishing at least one new Call of Duty game each year, franchise stagnation is likely a genuine concern for the studios and execs involved.

Yet when approached on the subject, Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia told Develop he had faith his team can run and run with the series.

“You should see our editing-room floor,” he said, “it’s getting bigger and bigger and bigger as we develop the game. There’s so many ideas that we haven’t implemented yet, so we’re not out of ideas, but it’s all about execution.”

He added: “I could probably spend a whole afternoon with you guys and we would come up with all sorts of new ideas for these kinds of games.

“But it’s all about getting a team that’s excited and passionate, and is willing to implement ideas at the level we want.

“It’s hard. I’m not going to kid you, these guys work so hard.”

Treyarch recently repositioned itself as a studio which solely develops Call of Duty titles – a revelation only brought to light in the past week.

“We’re committed. We’re committed in a way that’s pretty uncompromising and we’re very critical of ourselves right now,” added Lamia, “and we’re not so concerned with what’s coming from the outside”.

about the next CoD game after black ops

Personally, I think that in the new CoD game that treyarch makes they should bring back every single gun from every other CoD game. That would make the game ALOT better because then we have more of a variety. At my school every one went back to mw2 because they like the guns better or world at war or some other game. If they put all the guns, this wouldnt happen. Also, me and some of my other friends think it would be awesome if you made another type of team deathmatch with like three or four teams because the regular two teams is getting boring and the free for all is too. It would be cool because its like a free for all w and yet you have teamates to rely on at the same time. Thats just my opinion and some of my friends convinced me to post it up here so here it is for you all to consider.

I have a game idea for treyarch, does anyone know how I can publish this idea to treyarch. I choose treyarch for my idea because I dont think there is another game producer that can fully display my ideas to make the game the best it can be.

Make an entire game devoted to zombies. A campaign based on the original cast of zombie crusaders travelingthrough time trying to find the secrets. Also focus more on the original zombie survival mode, and maybe along with a multiplayer, implement a way to use zombies in it, but not as an over powering thing as to keep the good ol' shoot um up first person game of COD

treyarch and infinity ward on next console

To whom it may concern,
I am an avid gamer that has played video games for over 20 years. As the days pass and I think about how Black Ops was developed I thought of what I think would be an excellent title/spinoff for their next title for the next gen consoles. What if Treyarch and Infinity Ward got together and made a zombies game together? When Treyarch used the teleportation element it really opened up possibilities! What if the doctor and the crew in Zombies teleported to the time of Modern Warfare 3? Bigger maps, more players per map, and way more zombies! Perks would let you call in chopper gunners on endless waves of zombies that you can see flow through the map in routes? Firestrikes carefully placed to block waves of zombies right before somebody gets trapped? Juggernog also gave you the juggernaught suit for a limited time to mow down zombies? It would be like MW3 meets Blackops on an epic scale! Or just creating a player profile and gamercard with full options to customize multiplayer options/outfits? points that are earned boarding up and killing zombies went to your playercard for unlocking outfits or customizing weapons or avatars for the zombie community? An option to join someone elses current game would be nice too! I have too many ideas to post but thought these might be some great ideas Treyarch! Take it from a seasoned game vet! This is what we want! Thank you for your time and concern! -Derek F.

dear treyarch,
i have an idea for a new call of duty game based on the event 9/11. it would start out as you in new york city in 9/11 saving people from the trade centers then later in the game you go to the middle east to see who is in charge of the 9/11 event. later in the game you do get into conflicts with the taliban and various groups and at the end you kill osama bin laden, so in a sense it is like the story behind the first modern warfare so 9/11. for more details e-mail me or call me at 419-890-6670, thank you and i hope you consider this idea.
