Paulina Bozek, the BAFTA-winning director of the SingStar franchise, is building a new start-up studio following a high-profile walkout at Atari.
Bozek revealed on her confirmed Twitter account that she is now seeking “awesome Flash programmers for a new start-up game company”.
In April she ended an eighteen-month spell at Atari as both Phil Harrison and David Gardner waked away from their seat on company’s board of directors.
She was hired by Atari in 2009 to head up new London-based online studio, and her capture signified an exciting time for the company as it looked to rebrand itself as an online-focused game publisher.
It is unknown what Bozek’s position will be in the new nameless start-up company, though it is likely she will be its founder and act as creative director.
Bozek had only released a single project at Atari in her role as development director – a Facebook application called Atari Photo Sauce.
“It’s a social creative app that lets you decorate photos with funny stickers, accessories and speech bubbles and ‘Photo Sauce’ your friends,” she said in a previous interview with Develop.
